Topaz Jewellery Cyprus About

This beautiful island has been populated since around 9.500 BC. From the Paleolithic to the present, it became a home for Levantines, Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians, Hellenes, Romans and Byzantines, Crusaders, Venetians, Ottomans, Britons and Greeks.

Alexander the Great has have us the island where "gods go on vacation" and has become known as the island of Aphrodite. The Romans and Byzantines have mined copper and defended them against pirates. Richard I. Lionheart has named it Kingdom of Cyprus. The Venetians have driven trade and commerce. Ottomans have freed slaves and run business. British appreciated it as trading route base and Greeks culturally developed this island.

We as Topaz Jewels appreciate these multicultural values and combine them in art in our manufactories. With the help of artificial features of high quality technology according to the market request, our jewels are hand-crafted as unique pieces or collections by very gifted master craftsmen.

The collections consist of 14 carats and 18 carats gold in particular with gems such as diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires and tanzanite.

To the material:

Gold: A precious metal that has always fascinated people for millennia, we alloy it with other precious metals such as copper, silver and palladium. Thus, we get the 3 basic colors such as red, yellow and white gold. 18 karat is 75% pure gold and the remaining 25% is the color corresponding to copper, silver or palladium. For 14 karat, 58.5% is pure gold and the remaining 41.5% is then the same to the color corresponding as copper, silver or palladium.

The Workmanship :

Each item is hand-crafted by our very gifted goldsmiths in detail and engraved thus prepared for the gemstone mount. Each gemstone is carefully selected and set in the jewel on the perimeter. The types of settings are bezel setting, flush setting, channel setting, bar setting, pavé setting and prong setting.

After the gems are set, they are carefully controlled, polished, ultrasonically washed and steamed. Thus, the example is ready for exhibition and sale.

Our store here in Nicosia offers travelers on a total area of 1,500 m2 a generous selection of over 10,000 exquisite pieces of jewelry.
